Eldredge Park (Orleans Firebirds) 78 Eldredge Park Way, Orleans, MAWe start the 2022 Cape Cod Baseball League on the road against division rival Orleans Firebirds.
With the 2021 Cape Cod League regular season recently concluding, the YD Red Sox fell just short of the playoffs with a record of 16-14-7. Despite not making the playoffs, there were many bright spots on both sides of the ball this year for the Red Sox. Offensively, two players that showcased their incredible skill set throughout the season were Brooks Lee and Dominic Keegan.
Posey spent two summers on the Cape, both with Y-D, in 2006 and 2007. In each season, he helped lead the Red Sox to a combined 59-28-1 record and back-to-back Cape Cod championships. He earned All-Star honors both seasons, first as a shortstop and second as a catcher. He also spent time on the mound, closing out games both summers.
The Y-D Red Sox had 4 alumni participate in the 2020 Summer Olympic Games, which were postponed until 2021 due to COVID-19, 2 former coaches and 2 former players.
