The decision was based on the health concerns and safety needs of all involved. Following CDC guidelines and medical recommendations, the league determined it would be impossible to guarantee the safety of players, coaches, umpires, host families, volunteers and fans during this unprecedented health crisis.

  • Defense Lets Y-D Down in 5-1 Loss to Harwich
Southpaw John Beller had a sensational start for the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox last night in game one of round two of the playoffs, but Y-D only managed to score one run on 11 hits and committed five errors to hand the Harwich Mariners a 5-1 win. The Red Sox will be challenged tonight as they face elimination against one of Harwich’s best arms – Jacob Palisch, who had a 0.77 ERA throughout the regular season – on their home field. Ryan Hare will get the start for the Sox.
  • Red Sox Are Eliminated By Mariners in 5-1 Loss
The Red Sox lost to the Mariners in game two of the Eastern Division Championship series by a score of 5-1. Y-D is now eliminated from the postseason, but the team certainly shouldn’t hang their heads as their 22-19-3 season had a bunch of success.
