The Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox have been lucky the past several seasons to have the services of Kate McSorley and Alex Seeger, two local students with a passion for baseball.
Alex has been a bat boy, and Kate has served both as bat girl and assistant with the youth clinics. They have spent countless hours doing whatever it took to help the team.
Last week, in recognition of their years of hard work, manager Scott Pickler presented both Alex and Kate with commemorative bats signed by all the players and coaches. “Alex and Kate have done a great job. They are hard workers, and have been an important part of our team for several years,” said team President Paul Izzo.
Alex and Kate will be entering high school in the fall. But they will forever remain a part of the Y-D baseball family.
