SOUTH YARMOUTH, Mass. ? Fans, families, and friends of the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox are all invited to two special events taking place this month. On Thursday, June 18, Y-D in conjunction with the Yarmouth Senior Center, will present a Pre-Summer Kickoff. In addition, the Red Sox and Ryan Family Amusements of South Yarmouth will host the inaugural ?Strikes With the Sox? event, scheduled for Thursday, June 25.
Fans of all ages are encouraged to bring a baseball to the Pre-Summer Kickoff to receive autographs and take pictures with Y-D?s 2014 Cape League Championship trophy. Those in attendance can enjoy a free hot dog and take part in a raffle. The event begins at noon on June 18 at the Yarmouth Senior Center, located at 528 Forest Road in West Yarmouth.
Strikes With The Sox, which begins at 5:30 p.m. on June 25, will feature a wide array of activities for all in attendance. Throughout the evening, fans will have the opportunity to bowl with Y-D players, take photographs, and receive autographs. In addition, a 50/50 raffle and silent auction will be taking place over the course of the night. Parking for fans and families will be available free at Ryan Family Amusements, located at 1067 Route 28 in South Yarmouth.
Admission to the Pre-Summer Kickoff is free. Strikes With The Sox entry will be $5, with proceeds supporting the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox.
