Pat Gallagher, Nate Baez, Jacob Meador, C.J. Culpepper, Jared Lyons, Kris Bow, Zach Veen, Zach Jacobs, Luke Franzoni, and Jaret Godman were all drafted on the third day, bringing the total to 22 players drafted with Y-D ties.

The Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox got two early runs in the bottom of the first and never looked back, riding an impressive start from Grand Canyon’s Connor Markl the rest of the way Sunday night, beating the Falmouth Commodores, 4-0, in game two of a doubleheader. The Red Sox completed the sweep after a game one win.
Jared Lyons dazzled on the mound for the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox Sunday afternoon, tying a Y-D record with 12 strikeouts in six shutout innings, and the Red Sox used a three-run fourth inning to defeat the Falmouth Commodores, 4-1, in game one of a doubleheader at Red Wilson Field.
The Y-D Red Sox put up five runs in the bottom of the fourth inning, capped by a huge two-run double from Western Carolina’s Pas Ferreras, to overturn a 4-0 deficit and run away with an 8-4 win. The game was called after eight innings due to darkness.
After three straight losses, the Red Sox were finally able to celebrate a win after a walk-off knock by Mike Boeve.
In their return to Cape Cod Baseball League Action, the Y-D Red Sox played to a 4-4 tie with the Orleans Firebirds.
