The Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox fell to the Hyannis Harbor Hawks, 9-3, Wednesday morning at Dunkin’ Donuts Park in Harford, Connecticut. Y-D went down, 9-0, after three innings and never got back into it.
Behind another stellar start from Northeastern’s Eric Yost, who tossed six scoreless frames, the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox rolled to a 6-2 victory over the Bourne Braves Wednesday night at Red Wilson Field.
The Red Sox opened the week with a 3-2 win over Falmouth on the road, before losing and tying Harwich in a home-and-home. They bounced back with a 4-2 win at Wareham, before tying Chatham at home to finish the week.
Yost controlled the flow through 6.2 innings against Falmouth Wednesday night, limiting the Commodores to just four hits and ceding only an unearned run while keeping traffic off the basepaths via ground balls. Cole Carrigg drove in two at the plate, and the Red Sox earned a 3-2 win over the Commodores at Guv Fuller Field.
