The Friendly?s 2013 Cape Cod Baseball League All Star Game will be played at Red Wilson Field on Saturday, July 27, as announced by the League in October of 2012. It is the first time in seven years that the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox will serve as the game?s host team. Future Major League players Matt LaPorta and two-time World Series champion Buster Posey made appearances for the East Division in the ?other? mid-summer classic in 2006.
The 2013 All Star Game logo, seen above, was released to the public on May 28. More information pertaining to the game, including tickets, parking, and the day?s itinerary, will be released as the game approaches.
The Cape Cod Baseball League season opens up on June 12, with all ten teams in action. The Y-D Red Sox host the Bourne Braves at Red Wilson Field at 5:00 PM Eastern Time.
